Press Brake Operator/Setter Responsibilities Programming and safe operation of CNC press brake(s) utilizing all available machine features Maintain programs within the machines, eliminating program errors Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and drawings Check height, depth and thickness of materials/parts using calipers as well as other instruments Perform first-piece and in-process inspections Read manufacturing blueprints / drawings / layouts Prepare work to be accomplished by examining routing instructions, manufacturing drawings, part list (bill of material) and identifying proper tools and materials required Perform routing maintenance on press brake(s) Assist Continuous Improvement and 6S efforts Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills including ability to promptly give and follow directions when working with others Experience using calipers, tape measure, and various shop tools Properly clock in and out of each job processed via data collection hardware (Start time and stop time).
Physically sign off on job routers once work has been completed for applicable work center Flexible and dependable.
Able to switch areas instantly if needed Press Brake Operator/Setter Requirements Would need to be willing to train on 1st shift.
Needs to be able to read blueprints, using precision instruments, tape measures etc.
Forklift certified Must have experience setting up and running a press brake on their own.
This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials This position requires long periods of standing The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel toed shoes, gloves, filtered masks and hearing protection is utilized daily This position requires lifting and maneuvering 50 lbs.
